Arbor Drugs Collection collected by Eugene and Marcia Applebaum

Info

The Legacy of Eugene Applebaum is well known. His impact on Wayne State University and the Detroit Metropolitan area community has been profound and lasting, and can be directly contributed to the flourish of innovation throughout the Jewish community and in the fields of education, arts and culture.

Along with his 1998 gift to the university, the largest individual gift in its 150-year history, was the gift of an important contemporary art collection. This art collection, on permanent display in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS), is used to educate and inspire, but most importantly, to prepare future health care leaders, practitioners and researchers to be holistic problem solvers who have the ability to form meaningful connections with their patients and the world around them.
