81. What she sees Beyond these walls, beyond this country
where I've never belonged, couldn't vote,
sits a gentleness where the names
of fine china, of houseplants,
of all the Annas and Micheals
I'm vaguely related to
are forgotten. And the names of wheat,
for mountains. Where even my pleasure
in these names will be forgotten.
